The VIP (Very Important Person) project is a type of writing we are doing in school. We write about people in our class so that we can get to know each other better. The steps of the project are:
First we pick a VIP for the day. Then we interview that person for 10 minutes. We take notes while the person answers our questions. After the interview we write a story about our VIP - it is a biography! We write for about 20 minutes. When our writing is finished we draw a picture about that person. In the end, the VIP gets a bound book made from all of our stories.
VIP happens during Writer's Workshop. We start our workshop with a mini lesson. This is when we learn and talk about what we must add into our writing and good habits that we need to be good writers.
We feel confident about our VIP project and we love it!

WOW! It sounds like a wonderful project! I wish I had a project like that when I was in 4th grade! Have fun and keep practicing your writing.
